The Crested box features claro walnut on its sides and top. The bottom of the box is made from sugar maple.
The art is created from the following woods: cherry, spalted maple, sugar maple, walnut, Baltic birch ply, zebrawood, fir, poplar and sugar pine.
The triangular piece of English walnut represents the summit or peak - the crest - as it rises up from the center of the art. Saw marks were left on the cherry and fir to provide a more tactile experience and reflect light and the love in the trees.
