At Wood Creek Designs, we specialize in creating lasting works of art and functional art made from a variety of recycled and reused domestic and exotic hardwoods and softwoods.

To us, trees are a most precious gift. We love trees. We love them so much we moved from California to a forest in Kentucky and built a house in the woods. Our life among the giants inspires us to create unique works of art that celebrate and honor trees for all the wonderful gifts they provide humanity.

We showcase the incredible beauty found inside some of our world’s trees by bringing together various components of shapes, sizes, grain patterns and colors into works of art that are truly one-of-a-kind.

Our art amazes and interests people of all ages. It has a surprise factor. In our fast-paced daily lives, it’s not easy to slow down and be present for long. So, when people stop in their tracks and stare at our art, when they step in closer to really look at it, it makes us very happy and gets us a lot of “Wow!”.

Art should evoke a response.

We believe art should evoke a response. It should stop time, even if just for a moment. It should beg you to stay a little longer and look a little closer and see what might otherwise be missed.

When a work of art grabs your attention and pulls you in, the artist has evoked that response and created a shared connection. At Wood Creek Designs, we strive to create those connections.

The art on our collages, boxes and furniture are made from wood and wood products collected over many years. To us, each remnant - the cut-offs, the broken turnings or the small bits and pieces left from our projects - are too beautiful to discard. Instead of tossing them out, we repurpose them and create works of art that are truly one-of-a-kind.
